Halogen Free Energy Cable
Halogen-free energy cables are energy cables produced by using alternative materials instead of halogen components to reduce the formation of harmful gases and smoke during fire.
Conventional power cables contain halogen-based components in their insulation material. When these materials catch fire during a fire, they cause the formation of harmful gases and smoke. These harmful gases can accelerate the spread of fire and harm human health.
Halogen-free energy cables are produced by using materials that generate less harmful gas during combustion, instead of halogen components in insulation materials. These materials are typically high quality insulating materials such as XLPE, EPR or silicone rubber.
Halogen-free power cables are especially recommended for indoor use. These cables are widely used in industrial facilities, office buildings, hospitals, schools, hotels, shopping malls and other similar places.
