Channel Systems

Cable trays are plumbing systems used to carry and manage cables. Electrical wiring is used in many different applications, from heavy industrial plants to office buildings, and cable trays help manage this installation in an orderly, safe and accessible way.

Cable trays are typically made of several different materials. These materials include a variety of materials such as metal, plastic, aluminum and stainless steel. The shape, size and structure of the channels may vary according to the application.

Cable trays can be of various types. The most common are under-floor, in-wall and surface-mounted cable ducts. Underground cable ducts are ducts located under concrete and are generally used in large industrial facilities. In-wall cable trays are embedded in the wall and are used for arranging electrical wiring in buildings. Surface-mounted cable trays can be mounted on the ceiling or wall, allowing the management of cabling systems.

Cable trays may also include a number of features that provide cable protection and insulation. These features may include grounding, safety latches, protective covers, fire resistance, waterproofing and impact resistance.
